Delores was a very quiet soul keeping to herself, not outspoken. You would probably not notice her in a room, except for her beauty. She had such an infectious laugh she would make you laugh. Delores loved to play jokes on Jerry. She always carried the largest handbag she could find. They were almost as big as her.
She was the Hostess at “Sally’s” on Harlem Ave in Chicago. Sally’s is known for their deep dish Apple Pancake, she did give me the recipe. She worked many many years at Sally’s. getting up at 4 o’clock to drive to work. It was her place to see her friends who were her family.
