Deena Gammon Weston
Place of birth: Maine
Religious affiliation: Catholic
Deena was the daughter of Dorothy May Longley and Clifford Louis Gammon of Peru, Maine. She was married to James Weston on September 23, 1982 and is survived by her children James, Joshua, Tiffanie and Brittanie, as well as her grandchildren Rowan, Oliver, Weston and Aria. Deena went with God just shy of noon on the 6th of July, 2017. Deena was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of ovarian cancer just a couple of weeks before her passing, but her family is certain she wouldn’t want anybody to focus on the end, but to instead focus on her life.Deena lived a happy, laid back, adventurous life. She moved several times and lived in 3 different corners of the country. In the last few years of her life she lived in Savannah, GA. This became her true home. Deena had one purpose in her life: family. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who adored her family and always put them first. Even at the end the only thing she cared about was those around her. In her final days, when the hospital chaplain came and asked her what she would like to pray for, she didn’t take the opportunity to pray for herself, but instead took the opportunity to pray for her family.Deena was so loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Deena was laid to rest on July 10th at the Catholic
