Charles Ira Parks Jr

Charles (Charlie) Ira Parks Jr, age 76, died on January 13, 2020, in Dallas, Tx. Charlie is survived by his wife Carol (Gouge) Parks of Denton,Tx; his son Charles Allen Parks and Jennifer, their children Shyla, Charlie and Xander of Garland, Tx; and his brother Milo Green Parks and Brenda, nieces and nephew Piper, Jacob, Cassie and Lee Ann of Dallas, Tx; and grandson Dallas; and many more. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Ira Parks; his mother Willie Marguerite Bryant; and his son, Will Errin Allen Parks. Charlie was born on January 10, 1944 in Irving, Tx to parents Charles and Marguerite. As a youth, he achieved rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Rice University. Charlie was a great family man and a loving father and grandfather. In 1977 he married Sylvia Allen on June 27. They then had two sons, Charles and Errin. He married Carol (Gouge) Blanchard on January 31, 2002 and spent the rest of his life with her. Charlie was a socially active man who was deeply devoted to his wife. He enjoyed friends, reading, and good wine. His family and friends will always remember him as a positive and optimistic person.   A memorial is scheduled for 3:00pm on Jan. 31st, at Unity Church of Dallas, 6525 Forest Ln., Dallas, Texas 75230. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charlie’s life.
