Cathy Jo Wright, 53, died peacefully April 28, 2019, at a family residence in Elgin, IL where she was receiving hospice care. Cathy was born May 17, 1965, in Elgin, Illinois, the daughter of James Buttrum and Charlene (Rizzo) Buttrum.
Cathy is survived by her parents; husband of 22 years Andrew Wright; daughters, Nicole (Buttrum) Zenk of Belvidere, IL., Amber (Brummel) Francisco of Punta Gorda, FL., Jeni (Wright) Schewe of Lake in the Hills, IL., Jodi Wright of DeKalb; sons Derrick Buttrum of Crystal Lake, IL., Jon Wright of Sycamore; three sisters Debbie (Buttrum) Beaird of South Elgin, IL., Veronica (Buttrum) Tendeck of Las Vegas, NV., Amy (Buttrum) Nieto and her husband Jorge of Dixon, CA.; two brothers James Buttrum and his wife Cheri, David Buttrum and his wife Tami, both of Elgin, IL.; many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Cathy is also survived by her seven grandchildren Alyssa Tessema (16), Landon Francisco (12), Ayden Zenk (11), Andrea Buttrum (10), Lily Francisco (9), Camden Schewe (2), and Autymn Gasiewski (7m)
Funeral Notice Detail
A service of remembrance will be held 9-11a.m Saturday May 18, 2019 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at 115 N. Spring St., Elgin, IL 60120. Those who wish to remember Cathy in a special way and support her love of animals may make gifts in her memory to Helping Paws Shelter at 2500 Harding Lane Woodstock, IL 60098 or on their website. Gift donations may also be given at the location of the remembrance service or their website.
