Bill Wilson

Place of birth: Tyler, TX

Religious affiliation: Catholic

William “Bill” Richard Wilson was born on May 13,1955, raised in Tyler, TX by his mother and father, Jeffie and Richard Wilson.  On August 24, 2021, at the age of 66, Bill passed away in his home, in Montz, LA, surrounded by his loved ones.

Bill is survived by his wife, Judy Michel Wilson, his five children: Eric, Leann, Sabra, Robert “Bobby”, and Brad who, with Alexandra “Alex”, provided four beautiful grandchildren: Patia, Tristan, Elijah, and Emily, and his sister Gena Wilson Songy (Richard) and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard M. Wilson and Jeffie L. “Bugg” Wilson.

Bill was a fervent follower of Jesus Christ and cherished his family and faith above all else. Taking the scripture to heart, he lived to be a fisher of men, spreading the word of the Lord to all. He was active in both the church and community, a former member of the J.C. ‘s, an active member of the Knights of Columbus and later serving as a lector and eucharistic minister. Bill diligently worked to provide for his family, spending many years in grocery management. Through his example, he taught his children the value of a steadfast and earnest work ethic. Bill spent his final days sharing the love of God with his community, at peace, knowing he will find his final resting place in the comfort of the Lord’s full embrace.
