Steven Edward Schmidt passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015. His long battle with Huntingtons disease is now over. He is survived by his son Mathew Jakob of Florida and two brothers, Joseph H. Schmidt III of Groton and Douglas Regets of Windsor Ct. as well as his father Joseph H Schmidt Jr of California,his uncle James E Schmidt of Groton and several nieces and nephews in Connecticut and California. He was predeceased by his sister Allyson Hamel of California and his mother Denise Regets of Ct.
