Stephanie Rae Sneed, 60, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully on 11/24/2020 after a long brave fight with cancer. She was born to parents Richard and Marilyn Horne, on 01/08/1960 in Stambaugh, Michigan.
Stephanie attended her early years of grade school in Iron River, MI and moved to Prescott Valley, AZ with her family in the fall of 1972. There, she finished middle school then attended and graduated from Bradshaw Mountain High School in 1978. She loved softball and played on the high school team for several years. She also loved music and was an amazing flutist in the high school band. She loved collecting unicorns and antiques.
Shortly after graduation she met and married Terry Sneed, and joined him in his travels during his time with the Navy. She did a lot of volunteer work at the Naval base thrift shop while in Puerto Rico, where she earned several outstanding awards for her service, and worked in housekeeping while in Virginia. She ended in Pensacola, FL where she worked as a Cashier for 15+ years for Walmart #3484. She loved working with the public and enjoyed talking and joking with the customers that came in. She always had a smile on her face and something nice to say…her smile was infectious! While working for Walmart, she gained several very dear friends that supported her through the good times and the rough times.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Marilyn Horne. She is survived by her daughter Danielle Tendetnik and fiancée Tony Carranza; sister Joyce Huntley and husband Robert; brothers Marshall Horne, Zane Horne and wife Shirley, Randy Horne and wife Tammy; and three grandchildren Jessica, Alexander, and Catherine. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Stephanie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family, extended family, and friends.
