Peggy Work was born in Bradenton, Florida, raised in Tallahassee and attended Florida State University. She married John Dunbar Voneiff and had four children. Peggy lived in New York for ten years and helped form a little theater where she also performed as an actress. After moving to the Washington, D.C. suburbs, she was an Account Representative for Bank Americard and Central Charge. Later she wrote articles, restaurant reviews and sold advertising in a local newspaper. After her divorce, she married David Work of Gaithersburg, Maryland. They resided in Palm Bay, Florida until his death in March 2003 when she moved to Melbourne, FL. Peggy has had numerous poems and articles published and was a volunteer tutor with the Brevard County Literacy Program teaching English to adults as a second language. Peggy was a long time member of the United Methodist Church. Peggy is survived by her children, Julie Voneiff, Beth Voneiff, John Voneiff and Marilyn Voneiff.
A Memorial Service will be held on November 10, 2018 at 11 am at the Highland Avenue Fellowship Church located at 1591 Highland Avenue, Melbourne, FL 32935.
