Nancy was one of the most compassionate, giving individuals. She would give anything for the people for whom she cared. She loved animals, spending time with friends, and toward the end of her life, became incredibly devoted to her sister. Born and raised in Dunwoody, Georgia, Nancy spent her early years as a social butterfly. She worked in a number of restaurants and bars and developed a loyal customer and fan base with her incredibly enigmatic personality. She married Will Standard, and they lived in Sandy Springs, GA with their two cats, Graham and Emmie. Nancy loved her family dearly and helped her mother, Judy Murphy, as much and as often, as she was able. Nancy and her sister Sally were not very close growing up but developed a close bond in the last few years. Nancy was an amazing person and will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral Notice Detail
Nancy passed away at North Fulton Hospital on March 27, 2018. She is survived by her husband Will Standard, her mother Judy Murphy, her sister Sally Murphy, and her two cats Graham and Emmie. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 15 at Dunwoody United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 2 pm, followed by the church service at 3 pm. Memorial contributions to the Atlanta Humane can be made through the web site at https://atlantahumane.org.
