Religious affiliation: Jewish
Max, only 24 years old, voluntarily joined the Israel Defense Forces, IDF, in 2012. He was a sharpshooter in the Golani Brigade. He was one of thirteen killed this day by militants in the northern Gaza Strip.
Max was a Woodland Hills native who graduated from El Camino High School and attended Pierce College.
