Marlene loved life. She adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also had a great passion for all music, but specifically she had a special love for Country and Gospel music. Her smile and laugh could light up a room and she had a fabulous sense of humor. There was and there never will be anyone like her. She was a totally unique and vibrant woman. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marlene Facemyer, 82, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, passed away on February 26, 2016 in Chardon, Ohio. She was born on September 27, 1933 in Kanawha County, West Virginia.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include her children: Gary L. (Diana) Facemyer and Alan (Rhonda) Facemyer; grandchildren: Kimberly (Dorsey) Pyles, Gary K. (Brenda) Facemyer and Timothy (Heidi) Facemyer; siblings: Lester (Bonnie) Massie, Ruby (Sam) King, Shirley (Thomas) Ramsey, Mickey (Earl) Green, Clyde Province and Finley (Debbie) Province and 8 great-grandchildren.
Marlene is preceded in death by her husband, Roland Facemyer; mother, Myrtle Cooper; father, Silas Massey; brothers, Malcolm and Ermen Massie; great-grandson, Sean Elliott.
A celebration of life service will be from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Painesville Church of the Nazarene, 6235 Chestnut St. A private burial service for immediate family members will take place at a later date.
