Maria Amelia Alexandre, (96), of South Windsor, CT, died January 24, 2017. Our hearts are heavy with loss, but we celebrate the life of a beloved mother, grandmother and wife. Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Jose Alexandre, along with her eldest daughter and son-in-law Marie and Mario Costa, her daughter and son-in-law Josephine and John Portal, and her son and daughter-in-law Manuel and Kathleen Alexandre. Maria is also survived by her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Because of her love of the church and long battle with cancer, one of Maria’s final requests was that donations in her honor be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church or the American Cancer Society.

Funeral Notice Detail

Viewing hours will be held at Samsel and Carmon Funeral Home (419 Buckland Rd, South Windsor, CT 06074) on Friday, January 27 from 5-8pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church (50 Kane St, Hartford, CT 06106) on Saturday, January 28th at 10:00am.
