Joe loved the outdoors and spent a lot of his free time hunting and fishing. Joe worked for the City of Mt. Morris for 27 years and retired in 2015.
Funeral Notice Detail
Joseph "Joe" Nelson passed away peacefully at his home in Mt. Morris, IL. Joe will be missed dearly by his wife of 30 years, Vickie Lynn Nelson, daughter Mary Anne Nelson of Rochelle, IL his sister Susan Nelson of Henderson, TN and stepchildren Timothy Wooten and sons (Devin, Drake and Payton) of Grand Rapids, MI and Lisa Whaley and children (Megan, Tanner and Lilly) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A private ceremony will be held at his family's estate in Henderson, Tennessee on Friday, November 26.
