Smyrna Delaware – Ilse (Gass) Riemann Gray went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday September 17th 2016 at her home in Ridgewood Manner. She was born on January 5th 1925 in the town of Quedlinburg Germany and was one of eleven siblings. She survived the ravages of World War 2 and eventually married a German Pilot, they had a son together, Jürgen Riemann. She later immigrated to the United States with Jürgen and eventually became U.S. Citizens after marrying Harry B. Gray. In 1967 they had a son together, Norman Gray. Their family also included stepchildren from their previous marriages. She worked as a full time homemaker for many years, but Ilse also worked at a sewing factory in Harrington, Delaware and the Caesar Rodney School Cafeteria for some time, eventually becoming a full time wife and mother once again. She tirelessly worked to keep her family close and well-loved while lovingly supporting her husband Harry B. Gray who worked at Dover Air Force Base. She is survived by her Son Jürgen Riemann and his three boys, Michael Riemann, Matthew Riemann and Philip Riemann as well as her Son Norman Gray and his wife Christine Gray and their sons Cameron Gray and Ian Gray. Services will be held at Traders Funeral Home on October 3rd at 10 A.M., a Christian minister will officiate, to be followed by her interment at Sharon Hill Memorial cemetery next to her late Husband, Harry B. Gray. She will be surly missed, but we rest in that fact that we shall all be reunited again in the kingdom of God and live in the place he has prepared for us.
