I took this picture about a month and a half after my mother was killed in a car accident. It doesn’t look like much, but it was her life. Sewing. And this particular pile of material was the very last thing that she touched in her home. She video-chat with me September 1st morning, to sort through that pile with her so she could make a quilt for my daughter for Christmas. We talked for 4 minutes and 20 seconds. About that pile of material. It was the last thought that she had before she left her house to go to work. Everything is exactly as she left it. I just took the picture of our last moment together. Frozen in time.
