Scottsdale – In loving memory of Frank La Spisa, 83 (Aug 6, 1934 – Aug 19, 2017). Beloved husband, father, and grandfather is survived by his wife of 55 years Mamie, his daughters Frances Marzella (and husband Vincent), Josie Rogers (and husband Jim), his grandsons Franco and James, and granddaughters Marissa and Juliana. He is also survived by his brother Joe La Spisa, and sisters Mary Di Carlo, and Josie Di Benedetto. His older brother John La Spisa also deceased. Frank was born in Ciminna, Sicily, a beautiful rural town in the outskirts of Palermo. He came to America June 30, 1955. Soon he moved to Chicago, Illinois then a hot bed of Italian immigrants, and three days later he was hard at work proclaiming “God Bless America”. He loved this country for the acceptance and opportunity it gives all immigrants. He returned to Sicily to marry his beautiful bride Mamie Cirincione on September 15, 1962. He moved his family to Phoenix, Arizona on July 18, 1969 where he started working for Motorola Inc. He retired from there 25 years later. An avid gardener, Frank grew his own fruits and vegetables and in that way never lost touch with his native land. He will be sadly missed by friends and family who loved him very much and will remember him as a hardworking man of integrity, kindness, and a pillar of stability.
