Ethel May Nelson age 77 of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Wednesday morning of July 29th 2015 at Clinton Memorial Hospital from complications of surgery, with her husband, John, by her side. She born April 20th 1938 to the late Milton V. and Bessie Marie (Jackson) Cooper in Pike County, Ohio. Ethel was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Wilmington, Ohio. Mrs. Nelson was a missionary who travel within the US and abroad assisting others in her calling of the Lord. Later in life Ethel completed her certification as a Dietary Aid. She is survived by her husband, John W. Nelson whom she married on March 20th 1981, a daughter, Julie Brown of Springfield, Ohio, a son, David Bender of Wilmington, Ohio, a brother “Buck” Owen (Rose) Cooper of Reeseville, Ohio; Four grandchildren, Chris (Angie) Martin of Middletown, Ohio, Rebecca (Jerry) Harner of Clarksville, Ohio, Jessica (Robert) McKinney of Tallahassee, Florida and Marcella (Willie) Dixon of Trotwood, Ohio, and a dozen of great-grand children.
There will be no visitation.
In keeping with her wishes she was cremated.
Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
A memorial service will take place at the Church of the Nazarene located at 2193 Wayne Rd, Wilmington, OH 45177
