My Story
Life for me began on August 10, 1953 in the arms of Frances Cunningham and Dixie Benjamin II, in Dallas, Texas at Freeman Hospital. I was the 2nd child of seven children. In 1954, I was blessed to have a Step-father, Harron Fields. In this union, God blessed me have five younger siblings, Joann F. McDonald, Anthony W. Fields Sr., Noah Fields Sr., Sharon Tucker and Timothy Fields.
I attended South Oak Cliff High School, where I graduated in 1971. I was married to my best friend’s little sis, Brenda M. Craig from 1972 to 1983. In this union, there were three lovely children, Larry Benjamin, Terese D. Benjamin and Terry J. Benjamin. I also have embraced other sons, Tony B. Dixon and Ronnie Dixon Jr. I divorced and remarried to Sharron Benjamin in 1985. This is where I fell in love with the word of God and became a minister. I was blessed to preach my first sermon at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, is under C.W. Wallace. I became an associate minister, teacher, counselor and doing outreach ministries. I later decided to go on the road with travel ministries. I came back to Texas and married once more in 1996 to Lashawn Benjamin and divorced in 1998. I went back on the road driving trucks and ministering. I was a minister of the month from 1989-1990 for Words of Faith Outreach Ministry. I became a member of Potter’s House and this was my final Church Home. I drove trucks for Stevens Transport, were I saw the word and was able to witness to people and give everyone a word from God. I retired from Stevens in 2013 and had more time for my family, especially my grand and great-grandchildren. I am now proceeded in death by my mother Frances Fields, Rickey Benjamin, my brother and my father, Dixie Benjamin II. I have great memories in the hearts of Larry, Terese, Terry, Tony Sr., Ronnie Jr. and all of my grandchildren and great-grandchildren, granddaughters, godchildren, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and a host of brothers & sisters in Christ.
