Carolyn was born and raised in Alabama where she married her childhood sweetheart, Mel Roy Waters. They were married for 53 years before Mel preceded her in death. Carolyn graduated from Eufaula High School, Eufaula, Alabama and work as a telephone operator. Living most of her life in Florida, she was a stay at home mom who was active raising her daughters, attending church, and leading Girl Scouts.Before retiring, Carolyn worked for Coastal Insulation Company. Carolyn was a member of Beta Sigma Phi.

Funeral Notice Detail

On Wednesday, November 30, Carolyn joined the love of her life after battling Alzheimer's Syndrome. She is survived by her sister, Martha Roberts; daughters and sons in law, LeAnn and Jeff Bennett and Gayla and Tony Dunevant; grandchildren, Rachael Poe, Lauren Rothgeb, Jeffery Dunevant , and Shelby Bennett; great grandchildren, Harrison and Elizabeth Poe, and Bennett Rothgeb; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
