Arlene Francis Leccese

Place of birth: Jersey City, New Jersey

Religious affiliation: Catholic

Arlene also known as “Pinky” was my Mother and best friend.  We talked on the phone 1-2 times a day.  She was a strong, independent woman with a great sense of humor.  She was the social butterfly where ever she went. She was the oldest of 8 siblings.  A devout Catholic, she was always there whenever she was needed.  She lived most of her life in New Jersey.  From central Jersey through to as far north as Ringwood and south to Manchester.  Her career was in Real Estate, from a Real Estate Broker to working for well known Builders as a salesperson and later in sales management. In 2002 she had an accident and was disabled after that.  She went through a lot of rehabilitation and multiple surgeries to be able to walk again. In 2004 we all moved to Arizona.  She moved into an Adult Community known as Solara and met the most wonderful people.  She got involved with a multitude of clubs and organizations. She even performed in small productions where she was a natural, a big hit. Although she had chronic back/leg pain, it didn’t stop her much. The end of 2011 she went through a major spine surgery and it did not alleviate the chronic pain.  She moved to an Assisted Living apartment known as the Renaissance.  She made many friends and continued her acting in small skits.  She enjoyed that so much. Mom was a wonderful person, and was truly loved. A part of me has gone with her to her final resting place. She will always be in my heart and missed tremendously.
