Surrounded by family, Tony lost his battle with cancer and died a young man at 54 at Pomerado Hospital in Poway, CA.

Tony was a 15-time All-Star, won eight battling titles, five Gold Gloves Awards and was inducted in the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.

But to his family, he was a husband and father, a best friend and mentor to his son.
