Pat Stutesman

Pat was born in Kansas and lived and worked on a farm for his younger years. When he was a teen he moved to Southern California where he met the love of his life, Patsy. 62 wedded years together produced 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In 1953, Pat was drafted by the Army for the Korean War. They moved to Fort Lewis in Washington for the next two years. These were some of the best times for him. He would often talk about his time in the Army, the small trailer they lived in and all the friends they had met on base. Pat owned Anchor Muffler Auto Service in Anaheim, CA for 45 years. He would rise early, work hard to provide for his family and never complained. He truly loved his work. His love for people, honest integrity, friendly and helpful spirit is what made him so successful. He touched many people’s lives with his smile as well as his generous and helpful way with people. He enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, rebuilding boats and traveling the road in their travel trailer. He loved to go to the casino every now and then and play the keno machine. Most of all, he adored his children and grand children. He was a wonderful role model for them. Pat never knew a stranger. He always said, “You can never have too many friends.” He continued to show his love for his family and friends until the day he passed away. He made his mark here on Earth and will be forever missed by so many people. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Father Perry McCoy for his mission work in Honduras to build schools.
