John (Jack) Wilson

Place of birth: Baltimore, MD

Jack has passed on to the thoroughbred race track in heaven on December 30th, 2014. He received an offer he couldn’t refuse, for an assignment from which he will not be returning. His new mission will take him to a wonderful place where he will be watching all the sports he wants, watching all the great race horses he ever desired to see and spending time with the many friends and family that arrived before him. Happiness, laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious there, he gets all the sweet treats he always loved and he will never have to worry about his waistline.

He did an amazing job working for 42 years as a trackman and chart-caller, calling races all over the country. He touched our lives in many ways, even more than he ever realized, and made the world a better place. We wish him a safe and joyous journey and thank God for being blessed to have had him in our lives. We will forever remember his great smile, his contagious laugh, his gentle manner, his unwavering friendship and his kindest of hearts.
