On March 2, 2015 Loretta Elise Dixon departed this life at approximately 9:05 a.m. she was a native of Halifax, Virginia, born to the late Janie Dixon and Thomas Dixon. Loretta attended Halifax County Public Schools and after relocating to Danville, Virginia for employment. There she remained and married the late James E. Medley. She worked as a nurses aid at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation. Loretta had many friends and loved to play bingo. Early in life she was a member of Mount Olive church and was a member until she relocated and until her death. She was a faithful reader of the Bible.
Funeral Notice Detail
Loretta\'s health failed and she became ill causing her to give up the things she once loved and was no longer able to work in the nursing homes. She later was on hospice in the comfort of her home where she later passed. She is survived by her two nieces Angela Murphy and Sandra Dixon one nephew John Dixon both of Halifax County Va. Five grandchildren, also grandson\'s of her own Greg Dixon, Dominic King and Brian King of South Boston, Va. Many great, grand, nieces and nephews and cousins and other close relatives and friends.
