Jacob Sportsman 11/26/2012

Place of birth: Las Vegas

CFA JACOB SPORTSMAN U.S. Navy Jacob K. Sportsman, 22, of Las Vegas, left his body behind Nov. 26, 2012. Jake's life, though brief, touched many others. He was a multifaceted character. He was a dedicated son, loyal brother and exceptional friend. When he walked into the room, his grandparents', aunts' and uncles' faces would light up with pride. He could make you laugh, he was a prankster. You were never bored with him around. He could decide to throw a party and within hours have more than 100 people gathered and having a blast! His radiant smile, charismatic and confident walk, with his unconventional way of thinking, set him apart from the crowd. From the day he was born, to his very last, we never knew what to expect from him. He lived as he died, on the edge as he was an all or nothing kind of guy. He had many passions, all of them honorable, aimed at helping people and making the world a better place. He traveled the world as a firefighter in the U.S. Navy. We will remember him as a young revolutionary and one bad "Honey Badger." He lives on in the hearts and memories of his parents, Johnny and Joyce Sportsman; brothers, Joshua and Justice; little sisters, Anjolee and Alysha; along with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. We will celebrate Jake's life at noon Saturday, Dec. 8, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. – See more at: http://obits.reviewjournal.com/obituaries/lvrj/obituary.aspx?pid=161519875#fbLoggedOut
