Gwendolyn “Gwen” Smalls, daughter of the late George Smalls, Sr. and Margaret Simmons was born September 23, 1937 in Charleston, SC.
The journey of her earthly life ended on August 1, 2014.
She attended schools in Charleston County of South Carolina and later gave birth to 2 sons: Jerry and Woody.
Gwen was a laborer for many years. She worked until she could no longer work due to her health and later became a resident Evergreen Nursing Home.
She leaves to cherish her memories 2 sons, W. Jerry Smalls and Woodrow Smalls, 5 grand-children and 10 great grand-children, 2 sisters, Elizabeth Simmons and Deloris Simmons- Scott (James), 3 nieces, and 3 nephews.
