Donald Francis Sionne

Forever remembered in our hearts.

HTCM Donald Francis Sionne Master Chief, Donald Francis Sionne, of El Dorado Hills, California, passed peacefully in his sleep Saturday morning, Jan 9, 2016 at Folsom Mercy Hospital, Folsom, CA, after a brief but struggling battle with lung cancer.

Don was preceded in death by his mother, Concetta Madeline Punch (Jackie Paranzino), and grandson, Joseph Sionne, and leaves a legacy of family and friends to celebrate his life, beginning with his wife of 55 years, Catherine Louise Sionne (Birkett); his loving children & grand children: Christine Sionne, James North and children, Kodiak and Jesse North; Donald Sionne and life partner, Victoria Moore; Tina (Sionne) and Tyler Boker with children, Ryan, Jordan and Chase Boker; Robert Sionne, daughter and son-in-law, Amanda (Sionne) and Chris Sims, and soon to be baby Andrew Joseph Sims; Michelle (Sionne) and Richard Jensen and children: Shawna, Michelle (Jensen), daughter Lily and Spenser Mena, Kyle, Brandon, triplets – Jacob, Justin, Hailey, and Cadon Jensen; brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Melane Paranzino; and the entire Birkett clan: Dottie (Birkett) & John Souza, Jackie (Birkett) & Phil Souza; Jim and Joanne Birkett and their families ; and lastly Thomas Birkett. Not mentioned are his loving extended family and friends from around the country.

He will be missed dearly!

In lieu of flowers, donations to Wounded Warrior Project, in honor of Don, would be heartfelt.
