Derek Pierce

Place of birth: Key West, Florida

Captain Derek M. Pierce, loving only son, brother and uncle, left us on June 7, 2016. A young man that left us way too soon, whose  knowledge and love of the ocean was unparalleled. Bandit, First Mate canine and love of his life passed away on July 19, 2012. The life and times of Captain Derek and his First Mate Bandit aboard the  “Full House” were true seafaring adventures. Derek and Bandit were two of a kind working on the Full House. Now, they are meeting at the Rainbow Bridge and heading out fishing. I can still hear Derek saying “Bandit, watch the wheel.” We will never stop loving you my only son.You will remain in our hearts forever.
